Doug is the General Counsel of Social Impact Capital, and assists with the legal elements of due diligence.
Doug worked as a lawyer in corporate and technology law at Sullivan and Cromwell, as well as Milbank and Gibson Dunn. Prior to his legal career, Doug had a fifteen-year career in information technology where he developed banking and accounting software, worked as a systems programmer for IBM, co-founded IO.com, one of the first ISPs, and co-founded the security software company C2Net (sold to Red Hat.) Doug has been admitted to practice law in New York since 2006, after receiving a JD from the University of Texas with high honors, where he was Articles Editor for the Texas Law Review and was elected to Chancellors and to the Order of the Coif. He has a BA in Humanities from the University of Texas with highest honors and special honors and a BS in Computer Science from Colorado State University.
